The word draw comes from the word dragan, which means to drag one thing across another. These works are drawings, pure and simple. Lines of graphite on white paper.  Powdered graphite is carefully weighed and meted out into 1 gram portions and placed into small plastic bags. The contents of these bags are then shaken out onto a blank page, and carefully arranged into lines with a plastic card in a well-rehearsed ritual. They are then fixed and framed and sold by a dealer.
